Mission Statement

The UrFly Mission is to provide knowledge, skills, and access to financial resources for at-risk youth in our communities. In effort to achieve our vision of ending the inter-generational cycles of poverty by empowering youth to be financially capable of understanding and applying healthy money habits.

Description

The Urban Youth Financial Literacy Foundation was incorporated in January 2018 to address the lack of education related to finances, credit, budgeting, and savings that causes a cycle of poverty and debt generation after generation.
Our goal is to provide programs to school age children that cover age appropriate subjects related to to value of understanding what being financially literate means, budgeting, credit and debt, savings, financial psychology, skill development, income, risk management, and long-term planning.
Our Power of $1 Program is created to encourage saving, create an understanding financial literacy, and provide the knowledge and skills needed to achieve short-term and long-term goals. This program also fosters community-building by our community service efforts and recycling donor funds back into our community.
