Our mission at "From Broken2Chosen" is to uplift and help in the pursuit of transformation in the lives of women who have experienced poverty, homelessness, single motherhood, divorce, financial struggle, addiction, abuse, imprisonment, or just every day struggles, so they can transform into their best versions of themselves. As a ministry focused on the whole woman, we work to create a safe place where ALL women can become a shining light and source of strength to their communities. We do this through various programs, resources, and the support of a community with similar experiences.
We are a small growing non profit that received incorporation in 2017 and 501c3 in 2019. We began with the outlook of helping women in our community in 2020 through the offering of the following programs and services: Same Experience Sister Pairing, 1 on 1 Discipleship, Small Group Discipleship, Coffee Without Chaos, Fuel For Work Assistance, Family Court Self Filing Forms and Fee Assistance, and Emergency Financial Support.
Due to the pandemic we shifted gears to began helping with household supplies for families in need. We also adopted 5 graduating high school seniors, gifting them with things to brighten what was a whirlwind year for them, along with some items that would prepare them for their start to college. Last but not least when schools started to open back up we knew that our local teachers and schools needed support. We were able to donate an abundance of items to make individual health kits at one local charter school and provide 25 local teachers with needed supplies for their classrooms, and gas cards for their commute to work as they worked to keep our community's children safe in learning.
Our goal for 2021 is to get back on the path of growth to helping women in our community, knowing that when we can help one we help many. As with only a working board of 3 for majority of 2020, we are thankful to have been a support for our community, and would like to expand our reach further focusing on operations, finances, and reach, in hopes of gaining support for the future.
