Mission Statement

Bridge Africa Foundation works to promote quality academic and social education for African children from 4 -21 years. This is done through educational programs, collaboration and investment in organizations who advance educational learning, and direct interest in wellbeing of individual children with a skill and purpose. We stand true in the saying that "the real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes" - Marcel Proust. We, therefore, work as collaborators with existing organizations to advocate and support their goals of long-term sustainability for children’s education.

Description

Our goal is to make a difference in the educational story of Africa, and children residing in an Africa with opportunities. After all, an excellent education not only impacts one continent’s infrastructure, but has the ability to contribute to growth in the global world.

Our key purpose is to serve as a bridge by connecting what is available in the advanced educational and philanthropic community in the western world, no matter how small, to where it can make an impact in the quality of social and academic learning in Africa. This simply can be books, to knowledge of new software, professional development for teachers, educational management leadership, or an infusion into sports, music and non-vocational educational equipment, e.g. for Chefs. Quite simply our goal is to redistribute educational wealth and knowledge.
