Mission Statement

To be a catalyst for building healthy communities and enriching lives through the power of music and the arts.

Description

Music Box Foundation is working to operate year-round classes that makes music accessible to at-risk youth in Chicago, by providing them with instruments, music theory tutoring, mentorship, and a chance to perform virtually or in person (when safe to do so) across the Chicagoland area. We estimate that today there are hundreds of youth in Chicago who are passionate about music but have nowhere to do it safely. We feel that this passion for music should be supported by a safe, sanctioned place for the youth to exercise, socialize, and develop skills that will be useful throughout their lives.
