To take action to bring equitable funding to city students in Rochester, NY by: raising the urgent funds ($86 million) needed to provide basic services for the 2020-2021 school year; and advocating for New York State to decrease the disparities in education between city and suburban neighbors by fulfilling its financial obligations.

Description

Action for Education Equity is a group of community members dedicated to bringing equitable funding to the Rochester City School District (RCSD). RCSD is chronically underfunded and money is needed to provide the basic level of educational services to its students.

We are raising the urgent funds needed to provide basic service; & advocating for NY State to decrease the disparities between city and suburban students by fulfilling its financial obligations.
