One Treasure Island is committed to fostering and stewarding an equitable, inclusive, and thriving community for all Treasure Island residents, employees, businesses, and visitors. Lower-income households and those who have experienced homelessness are at the center of our mission. With core values such as community, collaboration, and equality, One Treasure Island partners with those that live and work here to create room for every voice to be heard. Together, as the Island develops, we will champion integration and access to opportunities within the broader, mixed-income neighborhood. From our community center to our signature education programs, we help our residents achieve stability and new opportunity through our integrated programs.
One Treasure Island, formerly known as The Treasure Island Homeless Development Initiative (TIHDI, pronounced "tie-dye"), launched its new name in 2018 and continues to work as an advocate for all people.
One Treasure Island's over arching goal is to build a new San Francisco neighborhood that includes formerly homeless and low income people from the ground up and to develop an integrated & healthy community comprised of people from all socioeconomic backgrounds. This has been true for today and is the plan for tomorrow.
