(GNWL), a startup Non-Profit Organization is seeking a communication intern who wants to make a difference by using their writing, research skills, and talents for the good cause of helping young, disadvantaged girls in impoverished areas in Burkina Faso. Please support our organization by volunteering with us. RESPONSIBILITIES: Draft written materials for internal and external communications. Develop and maintain a social media plan. Create content for social media channels. Monitor social media and website analytics on a regular basis. Write biweekly newsletters and blogs. Assist with other Resource Development needs such as donation management, external communications, and fundraising. REQUIREMENTS: An interest in international issues. Effective communication and writing skills. Strong attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills. Creativity and initiative to follow through on projects. A strong desire to help people and enthusiasm to work in a multi-cultural setting. Prior experience in a non-profit setting is a plus. Prior relevant coursework preferred.
