Mission Statement

Our mission is to transform unjust housing policies, discriminatory practices, and inequitable development schemes by engaging in strategies that create permanently affordable housing, advance tenant rights, expand housing security, and uphold equitable housing patterns and land use planning.

Description

JPNSI is a community land trust (CLT) with work focused on three pillars: development of permanently affordable housing, data driven advocacy, and community engagement. While JPNSI is a neighborhood based CLT developing permanently affordable housing in New Orleans' Mid City neighborhood, our advocacy and community engagement work is city-wide.

Our goal is to build affordable, community-controlled housing and to stand with members of the community and nonprofit partners to advocate for equitable housing policies that help ensure that New Orleanians with a low or moderate-income can enjoy housing security and resist displacement.

We are seeking volunteers for our renters' hotline. All volunteer activities can be done from home!
