Mission Statement

Our mission is to eradicate racism and eliminate unconscious bias by exposing children to people of diverse backgrounds through literature and interpersonal connections.

Description

Our vision is to develop a platform that distributes children’s books featuring Black and Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) at scale. Through programming and resources, we’d like to expose, educate, and empower children and their families and uplift authors and illustrators of color.

Families enrolled in our program will receive free diverse children’s books in the mail. The books will be thoughtfully selected to better reflect the diversity of the world we live in and to be age-appropriate for your child. To supplement distributed books, we will provide a variety of resources to continue the conversations between families - BIPOC author and illustrator-led programming, cross cultural discussions and additional resources such as reading guides.
