Mission Statement

Santa Barbara Athletic Association provides community leadership and support for all types of running, including track trail, ultra, road and cross-country. We encourage people of all ages and abilities to develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle through running and we work collaboratively with the community to bring attention and respect to Santa Barbara as a great running community.

Description

The Santa Barbara Athletic Association provides critical support to many valuable local running-related programs including the Club West Junior High School Cross Country Program, Special Olympics of Santa Barbara Track and Field athletes, maintenance of the Elings Park running trails, and the Dos Pueblos, San Marcos and Santa Barbara High School Cross Country programs. We bring the running community together at numerous events including four races (Resolution Run 10K & 5K, Vicki’s 3000, 4th in the Park and Fox Fall XC 5 Miler), community runs and socials and the highly anticipated end of year banquet and awards ceremony.
