Archaeological lab volunteers get the opportunity to do the secondary discovery of artifacts unearthed in the field. In the ARI lab, volunteers are asked to help us with data entry, willing to learn artifact sorting skills as well as cataloging. There are also general cleaning/maintenance tasks asked of all volunteers. Most of the tasks done in the lab require sitting and standing for a few hours at a time. The lab is where the real archaeological work happens and where we need the most help! For every hour we spend in the field we spend three hours in the lab working. Our ArchaeoCorps Members will be assisting you through the processes. No experience is required! We have all equipment and materials on-site, we need your hands and sunny personality!
