Position Description: Assist Vet Techs in the surgical recovery of patients, including help with monitoring vitals, taking temperatures, occasional extubation, ensuring post-operative warmth, and providing food/water once patients have fully recovered. Additional responsibilities will include keeping the recovery space clean, organized, and functional, and providing basic cat care such as bedding, food, and water. Time Commitment: Minimum of 2 hours per day, once monthly. Preferred 2 hours, once weekly. Hours: between 7am and 2:30pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Friday. Skills Required: This is a predominating standing position but also requires bending, kneeling, stretching, twisting, and lifting. Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs. Needs to be safety oriented. Good organizational skills are critical as well as the ability to follow directions and be flexible with change. Must be ok with seeing and cleaning blood, feces, urine, saliva, etc. Because of the nature of surgery, volunteers must be attentive and methodical in their job and dedicated to all life saving protocols and procedures. Legible handwriting is important for creating medical records. Must be comfortable working with dogs and cats. There will be direct contact with cleaning chemicals. Must be 18+.

Position Description: Work in partnership with the Spay/Neuter Recovery team to create a sanitary and welcoming environment. Specific responsibilities will include cleaning feces and other bodily fluids from kennels and traps, running and folding laundry, sweeping and mopping floors, and other various cleaning duties. Time Commitment: Minimum of 2 hours per day, once monthly. Preferred 2 hours, once weekly. Shift Hours: 2:30pm-5pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. 8am-12pm on Saturday. Skills Required: This is a predominating standing position but also requires bending, kneeling, stretching, twisting, and lifting. Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs. Attention to detail is crucial as is the ability to follow directions and be flexible with change. It is important to be a self-starter and an independent worker. Must be ok with seeing and cleaning blood, feces, urine, saliva, etc. Must be comfortable working with dogs and cats. There will be direct contact with cleaning chemicals such as Rescue. Must be 16+.

Position Title: Intake Volunteer Position Description: Partner with Community Cat Program Manager and TNR Coordinator to intake cats from the public for surgery. Provide basic cat care including bedding, food, water, and cleaning. Create paperwork, weigh cats, carry trapped cats throughout the building. Provide some light administrative duties. Time Commitment: This position is ideal for small groups of volunteers, and volunteers who may only be able to provide short-term service of one to three shifts. Longer commitments are also accommodated. Available shifts: Monday 9am-1pm, Thursday 9am- 1pm, Friday 8am-10am. Skills Required: This is a predominating standing and moving position that also requires bending, kneeling, stretching, twisting, and lifting. Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Needs to be safety oriented. Attention to detail is critical as well as the ability to follow directions and be flexible with change. Must be ok with seeing and cleaning blood, feces, urine, saliva, etc. Legible handwriting is important for creating medical records. Must be comfortable working with dogs and cats. Must be 16+.
