Las Vegas Wheelchair Basketball Foundation’s (LVWBF) mission is to build a community of adaptive athletes in the Las Vegas Valley (which includes Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson, and Boulder City) by promoting and equipping adaptive sports teams. We believe that adaptive sports are the best therapy for the lifelong recovery process following a life-changing injury or disease/disorder diagnosis. Not only will adaptive athletes find a competitive outlet, but they will be surrounded by a community that will help maximize their independence. LVWBF is convinced it is not only possible but necessary for those with physical challenges to get out of the house and do more and be more active and engaged than they ever were before their injuries or disease/disorder diagnosis.
Welcome! We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to building a supportive community for the disabled by promoting and expanding the adaptive sport of wheelchair basketball in Las Vegas, NV. The foundation acts as both the booster and club for Las Vegas Silver Bandits team. Our staff and board consists entirely of volunteers, meaning that 100% of donations go to support disabled and adaptive athletes here in the Las Vegas area that are interested in competing in the sport of wheelchair basketball.
