Mission Statement

Providing hot homemade or store bought meals at dinnertime to local foster families is our mission. The nuclear family is so important to a foster child and we want to support those relationships however we can. The tradition of family mealtime is especially meaningful and we hope the meals provided help our families to slow down and enjoy each other daily. Food nourishes your body but we also want to nourish the soul. Providing a homemade meal prepared with love shows these foster children that the community supports them. We will strive to prevent them from being painfully hungry again.

Description

Founded by two teenage sisters, we provide meals to busy local foster families so that they can enjoy the meal together, without the worry of shopping for groceries, or meal prep. Therefore this allows them to spend more time with the children and as a family unit. This meal may be a financial relief for some families and help with food insecurities. The criterion to receive meals is two or more foster children within a 10 mile radius of Countryside, Clearwater. We are searching for volunteers to help with administrative duties, food pick up and delivery, cooking, and organizing volunteers. We are currently working on obtaining sponsors for our fellowship and Christmas festivities. We support local restaurants by teaming up for events. This mission is only one year old and we hope to continue to expand and grow serving more families soon.
