Mission Statement
ASPIRE is the state of Oregon's mentoring program to help students access education and training beyond high school. The program matches trained, supportive adult volunteer mentors with middle and high school students to help them develop a plan that meets their career and education goals.
Description
As an ASPIRE mentor, you will play a unique role in the life of a student as you help guide and assist them in pursuing education and training beyond high school.
Mentoring students fosters their interest in education/training beyond high school, improves classroom attendance, increases academic performance, and gives students hope for their future. Successful mentors have an interest in working with youth, are reliable and consistent, follow programs policies and procedures, and bring enthusiasm to the role.
