Mission Statement

SolarBuddy is uniting a global community to illuminate the futures of all children. One of the biggest obstacles we face is extreme energy poverty. It is a complex challenge, impacting the health and well-being, educational outcomes, and economic stability of the communities experiencing it as well as our environment.

Description

Since launching in 2016, SolarBuddy has made a huge impact:    

  • Educated over 130,000 students across 550+ schools in 13 countries   
  • Empowered over 35,000 employees across 100+ corporations in 15 countries  
  • Gifted over 125,000 solar lights illuminating 625 ,000 lives in 19 countries  

Our goals are to educate six million people globally and to gift six million solar lights to children living in extreme energy poverty by 2030.
