Our mission is to provide highly trained service dogs to people diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Dogs are placed at no charge with qualified WISCONSIN residents who are 18 years or older.
Journey Together Service Dog began in 2015 with the purpose of working with area prisons to teach inmates job skills while raising and training service dogs for people with PTSD. These people are usually veterans or crime victims. Since we started, the program has expanded to also place some dogs with individuals in a wheel chair and as facility dogs for animal assisted therapy.
