Mission Statement

Santa Fe RSVP is part of a nationwide organization designed to recruit, place and support people age 55+ in volunteer service to the Santa Fe community. We help you utilize your experience, skills and interests to give back to your community. Volunteerism is proven to reduce depression, chronic pain, stress, risk of disease and social isolation, while increasing physical fitness, mental functionality, sense or purpose, social connection and longevity.

Description

For decades, the Santa Fe RSVP program has been recruiting and placing volunteers in local non-profits. With the financial support of the federal government, the State of New Mexico, and the City o Santa Fe, we are able to provide many benefits to volunteers, such as mileage reimbursement to our volunteers who drive their vehicles to and from volunteering ; a free supplemental insurance policy that covers you and your vehicle while you are volunteering; invitations to annual volunteer recognition banquets; volunteer appreciation gifts: reimbursement for taking the AARP Smart Driver Class; and enrollment fees (and transportation) to educational opportunities such as the annual New Mexico Conference on Aging.
