Mission Statement

The purpose of this Society shall be to preserve and promote the history of Western Rhode Island through community outreach, civic activity and the stewardship of the artifacts, documents and structures under its care.’ To bring history to life!

Description

As stewards of the Paine House and museum we strive to bring people into the history of the area with real-life experiences and living history events. We work to bring the Paine House and surrounding grounds and barn safely into the 21st century and preserve them for future generations. We also endeavor to bring our cultural and historical experiences to life in a fun, family-oriented, and entertaining way!
