Our workshops will include learning the following areas of technology:
Cybersecurity, data analytics, app design/creation, programming (software development), robotics, web design/creation, and much more!
Our program is called Design IT, Build IT, Achieve IT.
HISTORY: We are a vendor at Kwanzaafest every year. At KWF 2018, we hosted an Hour of Code event since it was during Computer Science Week, for kids and adults who wanted to participate. The exercise was called Dance Party using the Scratch coding language. At KWF 2019, we had 2 obstacle stations set up with robotic coding balls. The objective was to control the coding balls with iPads using coding. This event was open to kids and adults. We also partnered with Lockheed Martin in 2019 at a local middle school for their STEM day. We hosted several workshops that taught around 100 students the fundamentals of the Python programming language. We had planned to have many more workshops, but due to COVID-19, we had to postpone them. These workshops included the following topics: vision board party, how to stay safe online (cybersecurity), python activities, hackathons, scratch coding for younger students, and many more.
