Applicant should be organized, outgoing and personable... and must love cheering and encouraging others as most of our volunteers live with a chronic illness or rare disease and need extra support when their illness flares! Hello! Cards2Warriors is a non-profit that sends Happy Mail to those living with long-term illness or rare disease and their care teams! We have a large group of Ambassadors that help promote our programs, our special-themed cards, and our sponsors. We are seeking one or two people to help coordinate our team of ambassadors. This is a virtual position and most of our ambassadors are spread across the US and around the globe! Must be organized (a love of spreadsheets is optimal:) Must love encouraging and cheering others as most of our ambassadors live with one or more illnesses. Must be a good communicator and planner. Cards2Warriors sends cards of love and support to patients (we call them warriors) who are struggling along their health journey with illness and rare disease. We send physical snail mail cards and video cards (selfie video messages) and have a special program set up for High School and College students who are seeking virtual volunteer opportunities. Students will earn community service hours for Bright Futures (FL), NHS, IB (international baccalaureate program) while volunteering with us. For Physical Cards: We are seeking compassionate students with good writing skills and a heart for encouraging others. Art skills and organizational skills are a plus! We provide the cards and envelopes and all work is documented in our secure student portal. For Video Cards: students should be outgoing and engaging with a lighthearted vibe and a willingness to cheer patients with creative video messages. Snail mail is our jam! We facilitate the sending of cards full of hope and encouragement to patients (we call them warriors;) across the USA and around the globe! We do this primarily via our cards2warriors program and the Warrior Card Swap.
