HorsePlay Hippotherapy & Therapeutic Riding, Inc. is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Conway, AR. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for children with special needs. Qualified and licensed healthcare professionals utilize the unique qualities of the horse's movement to make functional improvements related to physical, occupational, and speech therapy goals.
Description
HorsePlay was founded in 2018 and is proud to offer services including physical therapy, speech therapy, also an occupational therapist who has achieved a national certification of hippotherapy clinical specialty. Our program's success depends heavily on volunteer support. In a typical speech, physical, or occupational therapy session using horses (called hippotherapy), we need at least one to two volunteers. Volunteer opportunities include side walking, fundraiser support efforts, handyman work, errands, horse handling and/or exercises, and others. HorsePlay also offers various intern opportunities as well as clinical observation hours for those students who may be interested in health care professions.
