Mission Statement

Sharing Excess connects colleges and communities to reduce hunger and food waste. We believe excess should be shared-- not wasted. Our mission is to use 100% of healthy food excess in communities to increase prosperity for all.

Description

Sharing Excess is a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating food insecurity by redistributing excess food in the community. By the end of 2020, we hope to redistribute 1,000,000 pounds of food in our city of Philadelphia through daily distribution pick-ups and our pop-up distribution events.
