Mission Statement

Our mission is to drive awareness of Childhood Domestic Violence by equipping adults and kids exposed to DV the necessary tools that provide healing, hope, comfort, and safety. DOVES is committed to driving change through the following process: F - Form partnerships by collaborating with the community, domestic violence agencies, and faith-based organizations that address the issues surrounding abuse and prevention. A - Advocate for survivors by acknowledging the injustices of abuse to give voice to those who can’t speak out for themselves. I - Increase understanding and participation in addressing Childhood Domestic Violence. T - Trust; provide an environment of trustworthiness where children/adults have a safe place to rebuild their lives and initiate healing through workshops. H - Hope, Healing, Help; empowering the survivors with the tools and stories that hope that healing is possible.​

Description

Millions of children worldwide are exposed to domestic violence every year and over forty million adults grew up in homes plagued by the epidemic. Executive Director, Tiffany Mensah is one of the 40 million adults who discovered her life purpose was to shed the light on this adverse childhood experience and also provide tools for healing. DOVES Network is committed to serving families affected by domestic violence. We offer our services to direct service providers, academic institutions, businesses, and the community by customized outreach programs and workshops designed to educate, equip, and empower. The journey of recovery after being exposed to abuse and enduring abuse is a lifelong journey. We are committed to providing resources that bring healing after trauma by serving as a national network.
