Mission Statement

Kudzu Cat Alliance’s primary mission is to stabilize community cat populations through a TNR (trap-neuter-return) program, and to educate the public about the benefits of TNR. When possible we also rescue feral-born kittens and foster them to adoption.

Description

Kudzu Cat Alliance utilizes a spay neuter program known as TNR, or Trap - Neuter - Return to control and reduce the population of community cats in Cobb County, Georgia. Community cats, also known as "feral" cats, are free-roaming, unowned cats that live outdoors. We trap them using humane traps, take them for spay neuter and vaccinations, then return them to their colony. As a result, they live safer and healthier lives and no longer increase in number. We also provide veterinary care for sick or injured feral cats.

Frequently these services are provided in low income areas where residents are caring for a colony of cats but cannot afford veterinary services for spay-neuter. When caretakers have difficulty affording to feed their colony we source food donations and distribute them to those in need.

Whenever possible, we rescue kittens from feral lives and give them safe indoor homes. You can help us save them by fostering or adopting.

In addition, we educate the public about the benefits of TNR, and collaborate with property owners, residents, local rescues, and caretakers to identify and serve community cat colonies. We offer resources to those who want to learn more about community cats, TNR, kitten care and socialization, and public health issues related to feral cat overpopulation.

Since our beginnings in 2018 we have spayed or neutered more than 700 cats, and provided loving homes for nearly 200.
