Mission Statement

The pursuit of excellence requires a learning organization grounded in leadership, innovation, and compassionate care that can translate new knowledge into better human health. These attributes are interwoven by professionalism dedicated to teamwork, collegiality, and social and intellectual diversity. Such values promote the best interests of medicine and further strengthen our social contract with the community we serve.

Description

Researchers at Northwestern University recently launched the Screening for Coronavirus Antibodies in Neighborhoods (SCAN) study that aims to determine how many people in specific areas have been exposed to SARS-CoV-2 (also known as coronavirus or COVID-19) and developed antibodies to the virus. The SCAN Study will also help researchers learn if these antibodies protect people against re-infection.

Many questions remain unanswered about the spread of COVID in our communities and the development of immunity against this virus. To successfully answer some of these unknowns, we need the support of our local communities and volunteers like you.
