If you would like to learn about being a Foster Parent/Foster Family for a cat or kitten(s) in need, please reach out to us at Forgotten Felines of Sonoma County. Fosterning tends to be a seasonal activity busiest in the Spring and Summer. However, we do utilize fosters all year round. Our foster's are folks who have lots of patience, love, dedication and energy to give. We will go over fostering in detail on the New Volunteer Orientation meeting and also in Foster Training. Fosters need to be available on Tuesday afternoons after 3PM in order to bring their "kids" in for medical appointments at our clinic in Santa Rosa every 1-2 weeks (or more) depending on their health needs. Our fosters are also integral in the adoption process, making us different from some animal organizations. Please get in touch to learn more about how our Fostern Program operates and how you can be involved. https://forgottenfelines.volunteerhub.com/

We are seeking volunteers to help us with the overwhelming amount of laundry that accumulates from our Spay/Neuter clincs. Our goal at Forgotten Felines of Sonoma County is to see every unowned cat in our community be Spayed/Neutered. We also provide other medical services for these vulnerable cats. A key component to our clinics are clean linens readily available. Our Laundry Angels take the lightly soiled (nothing far-gone with bodily fluids!) linens home or to the laundromat to be washed, dried & returned. If you wish to use the laundromat & not home machines we can help provide funds to cover the costs. This is a great way to lend a hand if you don't have much free time but want to help our mission. This is also an opportunity for folks looking to fulfil community service hours. Please visit our volunteer website to get in touch. https://forgottenfelines.volunteerhub.com/

If you are a fluent Spanish Speaker who loves cats, we need your help. At Forgotten Felines of Sonoma County, we provide the vulnerable cats in our community with Spay/Neuter & other vital medical services. Here are some ideas of how we hope you can help with any or all of the following areas: -Helping to interpret/write written flyers & directions in Spanish for clients bringing in their cats -Canvasing: Going to different neighborhoods to leave doorhangers/flyers on our services -Clinic Intake: Able to attend S/N Clinics on Monday and/or Wednesday from 7:30-9:00AM as needed to help check in Spanish speaking clients for the day -Clinic Discharge: Able to attend S/N Clinics on Monday and/or Wednesday from 3-5PM as needed to help check out cats to clients & give aftercare instructions -Phone Help: Taking & returning calls from clients on how to use our services (trap & bring cats in, etc.) (We are working on an option to have a line where Spanish speaking clients can leave messages, then the volunteer can check them remotely from their cell phone & return their call. The volunteer would be using their own cell phone, but it would appear as an FFSC phone number, not their personal number when talking to clients) -We will all work together to make sure you are trained & comfortable on how to help the clients & answer questions. -Vaccinated & boosted against covid-19 if you're working inside an FFSC building -Family teams welcome! 16+ or older if volunteering alone. Must have reliable transportation to & from volunteering if a minor https://forgottenfelines.volunteerhub.com/

We are looking for volunteers to fill a variety of roles in our Spay/Neuter Clinics. Clinics are held every Monday & Wednesday. At Forgotten Felines of Sonoma County our goal is to see every unowned cat in Sonoma County Spayed/Neutered. We dream of our community one day having no more homeless cats. We ask our volunteers give us a commitment of at least 6 months to their assigment, and we hope and encourage they will stay longer than that. Some roles are open to both Mondays & Wednesdays, some are either/or. Please reach out to our Organization by visiting our website to learn more on how you can help and see what clinic roles we have available. Requirements: All of the roles in our clinc are fairly phsyical. Standing, walking, bending, lifting (not super "heavy"), reaching, and even scrubbing. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and able to independently get to and from our offices. Clinic roles require strong attention to detail and carry a great deal of responsibility. Volunteers need to work independently after training without the need for a parent, mentor or guardian to supervise them. Volunteers must provide proof of vaccination and of having at least 1 booster against covid-19. https://forgottenfelines.volunteerhub.com/
