Mission Statement

Mission statement: To eliminate fatherlessness in San Bernardino by promoting a culture of father inclusion and responsible fatherhood in our communities. This mission will be accomplished in collaboration with local schools, community partners, faith-based organizations and public and private agencies. This endeavor is essential for developing stronger families and safer communities for our children. Vision Statement: A society where children thrive, families are strong and communities are safe as a result of responsible fathering.

Description

In 2016, San Bernardino Fatherhood was founded by Ryan Berryman, MSW, as a community-based organization to bring awareness to the importance of father inclusion and responsible fatherhood in communities.

San Bernardino fatherhood provides educational services, resources and advocacy to fathers/men in our community for the well-being of children and strengthening families.

CLASSES/WORKSHOPS/ SERVICES & RESOURCES

  1. 24/7 Dad (AM) Fathering: An evidence-based, 12 sessions, parenting curriculum developed for Dads.
  2. Fathering in 15: An online, 15 topics, individual learning tool to increase the father’s awareness, knowledge and skills to be a good Dad.
  3. Domestic Violence Education and Prevention
  4. Life Skills Education Series for (Non-Custodial) Father

  • Men’s support group (e. g., "A Gathering of Men")
  • Child welfare support and advocacy
  • Family reunification support and advocacy
  • Mentoring and Advocacy
  • "Dad’s Club" for school-based activities and events.
