We believe in fighting for social, economic, racial, and environmental justice in all forms. Our vision for the Commonwealth is one of just wages and fair taxation; robust investment in public education and public infrastructure; a health care system that leaves no one behind; a clean environment; an open, transparent, and participatory government; and communities where all residents have the opportunity and resources they need to thrive.

For over 200 years, we have led the nation, always by investing in the future and with a deep sense of obligation to democratic self-determination and the community good:

• Our state government and Constitution became a sturdy model for the nation
• We created the first public park in our new country, and we called it Boston Commons
• We founded the first public schools, built the first public transportation system
• We were first legalize marriage for all, the first to offer health care insurance for all

But there is clearly more to do and, inspired by this history, Progressive Massachusetts intends to transform Massachusetts into a bold laboratory for progressive state initiatives and foster an open and inclusive political environment.
