To serve all members as the coordinating and information clearinghouse for strategic community issues. To provide an inclusive open forum for public discussion and to advise the City on strategic issues concerning City governance, the needs of this community, the delivery of City services to the Hollywood area, and on matters of a citywide nature.
Neighborhood Councils are the most local form of government in LA. We are technically elected officials, but not in the traditional sense. Anybody who works, lives, or regularly hangs out in this neighborhood (from El Centro to Western, and Hollywood to Melrose) and is 16 or older, is eligible to vote, sit on a committee, and even run for a board position.
