During these uncertain times, how can we help?

Lichen Oaks Adaptive Riding Center (LOARC) is dedicated to healing - healing of body, mind and spirit - and creating a joyful experience for riders and their families. Our goal is to help mend broken bodies, brighten the outlook of discouraged minds and lift up brokenhearted spirits. We hope to help you through our programs of therapeutic horseback riding and horsemanship.
LOARC operates almost solely on volunteers. Volunteers are needed to assist during a therapeutic riding lesson to maintain a safe and enjoyable experience for our riders. The duties of a volunteer may include: preparing a horse for the lesson, leading the horse during the lesson, or walking next to the rider during the lessons. Other opportunities are needed in a non-equine capacity as well. Volunteers must be 16 years or older and able to walk for 1-2 hours. All volunteers will go through an orientation and training process before participating in the program.
