Mission Statement

GoPhilanthropic Foundation collaborates to expand the power and potential that resides at the grassroots, where under-resourced communities are working to gain equal access to education, health, human rights, and opportunities that we are all entitled to. The positive shifts that are required to solve our greatest global imbalances will require us to listen more carefully, trust more deeply, and commit more fully to becoming a better humanity -- together.

We represent 40+ grassroots program partners across 8 countries in 3 main areas of focus: Education, Health, and Human Rights. Most are small, yet extremely dedicated community-led organizations working at the root of some of the most challenging issues of our time: human trafficking, child-labor, gender inequity, early marriage, and a lack of access to health care and education found in indigenous communities.

GoPhilanthropic focuses on helping them to become stronger, healthier entities so that they can reach their best potential and scale the impact of their work. Generally speaking, our partners have annual budgets of $300,000 or less (and sometimes as small as $50,000). What they may lack in funding and exposure, they make up for in drive and belief in a better future for the people they serve.

GoPhilanthropic believes in investing in the growth and health of the organization as a whole. We provide grants to fund the most critical needs based on the partners’ priorities. These range from daily basic needs, to salaries or training for qualified staff, to basic operational costs such as electricity and internet services. In many cases, these are the unattractive 'hard to fund’ yet fundamentally important items on an organization’s budget.
