We are seeking a creative and skilled Video Editing Volunteer to support our upcoming project involving the editing of videos (2-3 short videos) for our annual appeal. The volunteer will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality and impact of these videos, which will be shared on our social media platforms to raise awareness and support for our cause. The Schenectady Greenmarket is looking for volunteers to help us provide local food to our community. You can help out one Sunday or several Sundays if you're available! Volunteer descriptions can be found below. You can sign up directly for volunteer shifts through the sign up genius link here https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C094AADAE2FA0FAC43-46345151-indoor#/ Food Box Assistant AM 9:45-12 PM Assist in the setting up of the Food Box table and prepare for deliveries. Pick up food items from vendors. Guide customers in choosing items and purchasing their Food Box Package. Market Assistant AM 9:15-11:30 PM 12-3 Morning Help set up market table, community tables, market signage, tents etc. Greet morning musicians and help them with set up as needed. Greet other morning volunteers and City Mission Ambassadors and help them get set up. Greet community table groups and help them get set up. Once market opens monitor main entrance to market, count incoming customers and record in the market log. Help customers find vendors and help manager with any problems. Offer vendors an opportunity to take a break, do not handle sales while they are gone. Afternoon Greet afternoon musicians and help them with set up as needed. Greet other afternoon volunteers and help them get set up. Monitor main entrance to market, count incoming customers and record in the market log. Help customers find vendors and help manager with any problems. Offer vendors an opportunity to take a break, do not handle sales while they are gone. Assist Market Manager with token collection and check distribution during the last half hour of market. Assist with taking down the market. Cashier & Assistant Cashier Responsibilities AM 9:45-12 PM 12-2:15 Process credit/debit and EBT/SNAP transactions and administer tokens to customers. Sell market bags. Volunteers can divide these tasks however works for them. Kids Table AM 10-12 PM 12-2 We provide simple projects and coloring sheets based around a weekly theme, for kids to do at market. Volunteers help kids choose what to work on and supervise children. Mostly the role is to let parents and children know there is a kid centered activity and to be a welcoming face. Vendor Liason PM 12-2:15 Support market manager with administrative tasks. Barricade Builder AM 7:30-8 Help set up wooden barricades along Market entrances Set Up Assistant AM 8-9 Tent Popper and Set up Assistant Barricade Take Down PM 2-2:30 Take down barricades Take Down Assistant PM 2-2:45 Help take down tents and other materials and transport them to storage
