Volunteer VIDEOGRAPHER in Uganda (Story teller, film maker, video producer)

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for talented filmmakers and video producers to make a real social impact with their truly rewarding work. S/he will play a crucial role helping PARC-Uganda build a powerful framework of stories and evidence on its work in Uganda. S/he will help in making short impact compelling films/ videos and mini project documentaries (as well as case study portraits if possible) for awareness and promotional purposes. S/he will be responsible for planning, capturing, sound recording, lighting and editing of the films which will help drive action with key audiences. Supported by PARC-Uganda's Director, s/he will then assist to proactively look for opportunities to help the organisation to reach a broad audience with or using these films/documentaries. In additional to making films, s/he will play an important role building the capacity of PARC's volunteers/staff and primary actors in storytelling.

HELP IN WEBSITE IMPROVEMENT

PARC-Ugannda is looking for an experienced web designer willing to donate time and expertise to help in improving, maintaining and updating the organization’s website. The organisation already have a WordPress website up and running at https://parc-ug.org/, but needs improvement to make it user-friendly and ease to find on search engine. As a web tech expert, you will help identify our real needs, though here is a quick list;- - Enhance site experience through engaging and functional design, modifying site interface from graphical and user experience (UX/UI) point of view. - Check security protocols and implement websites security updates (WordPress software, plugins and SSL certificate). - Implement SEO optimization as well as strategies to improve search engine results - Improve mobile programming (Optimize site for desktop and mobile) - Content development (help in improving and summarizing content we develop for the site) - Help add some features that we will discus directly with suitable applicants such as electronic mailings (e.g. newsletters, etc )

Child Care and Support

Volunteers will help at our school for orphans (THIS IS NOT AN ORPHANAGE), but a learning centre from kindergarten (nursery) to grade 7 (primary) level, with students aged from 4 years to 16 years. The volunteers will play a major role in helping teacher and children throughout the school day across all aspects, and assisting with the running of the school activities.
