Description

Maureen Thompson ran after school social skills programs for 15 yrs in the local community. After experiencing life changing trauma with her husband's suicide, she realized the importance of mental health and social-emotional wellness starts at a young age. She believes ALL kids deserve to have fun, enjoy friendships and understand how to navigate stress and relationships. She has a gift for connecting with kids and truly believes EVERYONE benefits from improved social emotional wellness.
Lindsay Selig has always had a passion for working with youth. After being a school counsellor on the Front Range, she moved Jersey film to Carbondale and continues her dedication to helping kids develop necessary life skills and social emotional wellbeing through her work at RMKC and as a prevention specialist in the Roaring Fork School District.
Our groups provide exciting and engaging opportunities to learn, practice and engage with others in positive ways. Groups foster connectedness and inclusivity with others in our communities. Participants love the welcoming, safe and engaging discussions that provide opportunities to discuss and process life events that may lead us down a dark valley or a bright sunny road to happiness. Participants learn crucial life skills that help with today's challenges and will carry through to adulthood!
Social emotional wellbeing is a true indicator of success in life!
