Mission Statement

Our mission is to give food to.those in need. "In accordance with Federal law and U.S. Department of Agriculture policy, this this institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, religion, political beliefs, or disability."

Description

Founded in 1988, the Pantry provides canned goods, cereal, pasta, beans, vegetables, fresh fruit, bread and meats when available to individuals and families requiring assistance. Presently the Pantry is open for food distribution on Monday from 12:30 -2:30PM and Thursday from 9:30-11:30AM based on available staffing. We’re open at the Hispanic Alliance at 170 State St on Monday from 4-7PM

The Pantry relies on volunteers to meet our goals. We need volunteers to help in many areas, including food pickups from the Gemma Moran Food Distribution Center and various supporting supermarkets, stocking food, prepackaging food items for distribution, distribution of food to families who come to the Pantry by car or walking and a small amount of record keeping.
