Mission Statement
The CCPPE mission is to provide all who been incarcerated with simplified access to meaningful job opportunities offered by businesses nationwide who are committed to second chance employment.
Description
We are building a national second-chance employment exchange at www.fairchanceemployers.com, where individuals recently released from prison can apply for current job opportunities posted by local employers who intentionally commit to follow fair-chance hiring practices. The site will offer services at no charge, and is set to debut on January 1, 2022. We need help recruiting local fair chance employers and various community organizations who can help us identify them. We also need to collect and maintain a comprehensive list of community resources - housing, drug and alcohol treatment programs, financial assistance, etc. - that we will provide to the previously incarcerated at our related property, www.givenafairchance.org.
The CCPPE is the service arm of Demand Lead Generation, and operates from within a call center staffed by inmates at the Snake River Correctional Institution in Oregon. During our 17 years at SRCI, we have witnessed first-hand how prison inmates can excel in the workplace when they are given a fair chance. We have also learned how incredibly difficult it is for those same inmates to find meaningful work when they return to their community. Because we know that prompt employment is crucial to re-entry success, we intend to ease that search by creating the nation’s first fair chance employment exchange. Here at the CCPPE, we believe that every day is a second chance. And we should know, after all... our business is built on it.
