Mission Statement

AARP Foundation Experience Corps Pinal-Casa Grande is an inter-generational volunteer-based tutoring program that is proven to help children who aren’t reading at grade level become great readers by the end of third grade. We inspire and empower adults 50 and older to serve in their community and disrupt the cycle of poverty by making a lasting difference in the lives of America’s most vulnerable children.

Description

As the rural affiliate to bring Experience Corps to Pinal County, Achieve Pinal is partnering with the City of Casa Grande and the Casa Grande Elementary School District to recruit community-based volunteers ages 50 and over. They will serve as academic tutors in the AARP Experience Corps Elementary Grade Reading Program. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact program manager Caryl Chase by email or phone.
