Description

​The Community Ecology Institute recently purchased a 6.4 acre organic farm in our hometown of Columbia, Maryland. We have protected this unique property from being developed and are restoring the farm and creating a Community Ecology Center where people can come to learn through hands on experiences about how they can have happier, healthier, more connected and sustainable lives! This work is of particular interest for those who want to engage in:

  • Farm preservation and agricultural knowledge
  • Environmental sustainability and climate action
  • Nature-based experiential education programming
  • Health and nutrition programming
  • African American land heritage programming
