Mission Statement

Home Roots Foundation is a grassroots community organization dedicated to improving the educational, economic, social, and civic development of communities we serve in Haiti.

Description

Home Roots Foundation (HRF) is a non-profit 501(c) 3 grassroots organization working in Haiti. We support existing schools by providing supplies, scholarships, and helping to pay teachers. On Thursdays and Saturdays, we hold the Speak English Together Club (SET-Club), which is an informal school that teaches youth English for free. We also have the Youth Engagement Civic Education Program (YECE), which involves mentoring, volunteerism, and learning civics. In 2020, because of demand, we added the Women's Microfinance Program (WMP) to help women start a small business.
