Mission Statement

African American Youth Church, mission restoring FAITH, HOPE, and LOVE for the whole community. Goal: To engage young lives in the adventures of Christian discipleship. Effective churches utilize higher education and empower effective youth ministries. Charity is the dispensation of direct and immediate assistance to people in need.

Description

A historical African American Baptist church in the heart of Watts promoting inclusion efforts efficacy, and service. We provide a summer youth breakfast/lunch program during the summer. We have a weekly Sunday Breakfast Ministry. We sponsor a monthly food bank open to the community. We have an ongoing clothing bank free to everyone. We have an annual Christmas festival and toy giveaway with games, a toy giveaway, free meals, a trackless train, bounce house, and community fun for all. We have collaborated with Mayor Eric Garcetti, Assemblyman Mike A. Gipson, State Senator Steven Bradford, actor Val Kilmer, and a host of other notable individuals and groups to collaboratively uplift our community.
