Mission Statement

The purpose of the M.C. Miller PTSO is to strive to: Foster relationships among the school, parents, students and teachers. Develop a closer connection between school and home by encouraging parent and student involvement. Enhance the educational experience by supporting academic and enrichment activities. Improve the environment at our school by providing volunteer and financial support.

Description

All of our volunteers must be Kingston City School District approved volunteers. Board members must also be approved through an additional IDTrue background check.

Our school has about 860 students. Most
of our volunteer hours are teachers and/or staff from the school. We have low parent participation. We would like to focus on this for the 2020-2021 school year.

For the 2020-2021 school year, we still need board members to operate:
President
Vice-President
Secretary

Our organization hosts about 6 events per school year. This includes: two dances, a penny social, fundraisers with local businesses (restaurants and Wood N Wheels), and 8th grade moving up celebrations. We also write grants that support educational enrichment activities.
