We are seeking volunteers who want to be a part of helping by sharing your time and talents. We have opportunities available for Administrative Volunteers where you can assist with clerical tasks such as filing, answering phones or data entry. If spending time making someone’s day is where your heart is, we also have a availability for Volunteers who would like to support our patients and families by providing companionship, reading, or engaging with them through the use of your specific talent. Want something you can do remote? Our patients enjoy receiving cards and letters so becoming a Pen pal with one or more of our patients could work for you! If you have a talent you would like to share such as knitting/crocheting, art or music, we have opportunities to share your talents with our patients. All training is provided and support will be ongoing from our Volunteer Coordinator.

Suncrest Hospice is seeking dedicated veteran volunteers to join our team! We are seeking veterans or current military to provide companionship. Our precious population of veterans are continuing to age into end of life and very much enjoy the company of others from their military family. We are seeking volunteers who want to be a part of helping by sharing your time and talents. If spending time making someone’s day is where your heart is, we have a need for you. We are seeking those who would like to support our vets and families by providing companionship, reading, or engaging with them through the use listening and sharing that special bond amongst veterans. All training is provided and support will be ongoing from our volunteer coordinator. Music can be comforting. If you play a musical instrument or you play downloaded music, we would love you to join our patients and bring that joy to them. Suncrest Hospice is looking for you or your friends and family to join the Suncrest Team as we provide excellent care and support to our hospice patients and their families! Volunteers are essential members of the patient’s hospice care team. Volunteers are trained to listen, care, and provide companionship for our patients during this important time in their lives. Through training and orientation, our volunteers understand the hospice philosophy to provide as much comfort and quality of life to our patients as possible. All of our volunteers are trained to provide companionship and supported by volunteer coordinator. In the Austin Metro Area, Suncrest Hospice serves families in Travis, Williamson, Hays, and Bastrop. We serve both patients in facilities and in their own homes. Thank you for considering us! We are super excited to meet you and see how we can work together.

We offer several opportunities to join us as a companionship volunteer. Just YOU and your companionship is much needed! We serve a wonderful population that are close to end of life. As you may know, many hospice patients experience a gradual decline in end of life journey yet can still have alot of life left during this journey. You can imagine for some it can get lonely at times and your companionship is just what they need! Companionship means participating in activities with someone. These might include reading a book out loud, watching the tv, conversation or just being present to provide comforting presence. If you have a few hours once a month we are looking for you! Companionship Volunteers work directly with patients providing companionship, offering friendly visits, reading to patients, playing favorite game, or sharing a quiet moment. Music Volunteers are volunteers who specialize in sharing songs or instrumental music with patients and their loved ones. Whether the Music Volunteer is sharing an existing musical skill or playing music via the radio or digital device, the goal is to enhance the quality of life of our patients.
