Mission Statement

Lawrence Talks! is an interdisciplinary initiative that has as its primary goal to make the research and insights of academics of varying backgrounds, interests, and experience accessible to the public. LT also seeks to apply philosophical rigor to both local and national issues in such a way that can be understood and even utilized by non-academics. In short: we hope to serve as a central point for open and deliberative discussions.

Description

Lawrence Talks is a multi-media platform that seeks to introduce traditional philosophical and humanist topics to the general public and provide an all-things-considered analysis of ethical issues from the community. We have been recognized by the University of Kansas' Community Service Center for our contributions to the community. We have established a number of partnerships with both community and University members.
