The mission of Valerie's House is to help children and families work through the loss of a loved one together and go on to live fulfilling lives.
Valerie's House is the only organization in Southwest Florida that is solely dedicated to helping children grieve the loss of a loved one. With locations in Naples, Fort Myers, and Punta Gorda our free support programs serve children between 4 and 19 and their families, through peer-to-peer support groups, in-school bereavement services, and one-on-one mentoring. We use art, music and other creative activities to help our children and families identify, express and process their grief. Since opening our doors in 2016 to 20 children we are now helping more than 600 children and have established specialized groups to address specific needs such as Spanish-speaking families, grandparents raising grandchildren, sibling loss, and young adults. We are committed to making sure No Child Grieves Alone in Southwest Florida.
