During these uncertain times, how can we help?

Giving men and women a second chance by providing them with legal representation, bail assistance, reentry support, connections to social services, and the tools they need to succeed.
What We Do:
Florida Justice Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that addresses factors leading to disproportionately high conviction rates for the poor and people of color. FLJC currently connects low-income, first-time offenders and military veterans with pro bono defense attorneys and social services. We are currently building a wrap-around, evidence-based reentry program in Broward County.
The Florida Justice Center wants to help people get out of jail and keep them out of the justice system permanently.
Who We Are:
FLJC is a small, but diverse organization. 5/7 of our Board of Directors are people of color, 2/7 are returned citizens, 3/7 are female, and 2/7 are sexual minorities. We operate with a small budget and one full-time staff member, but our board members are hands-on and involved in many of our day-to-day operations.
