National Volunteer Week 2021 Is Here!
Celebrate with us as we highlight #ArtAsActivism!
To work in partnership to provide clean water, improve education and healthcare, and share culture, faith and music with communities in Africa.
The Africa Exchange Project provides access to clean water, quality education and reliable healthcare in Pomerini, Tanzania. Our primary work is building relationships. It began with one person visiting the village of Pomerini, Tanzania. That was all it took to inspire our exchange with delegations traveling to Tanzania and friends from Tanzania coming to the United States.
This love that binds us together compels us to be of use. Telling the story of our friends - their dreams and ambitions - joins our communities with theirs. We raise money in the U.S. to provide clean water to families, expand educational opportunities for children, and improve healthcare access and quality in rural Tanzania.
We have installed 43 clean water wells in our 15 year history. We provide a scholarship program to send young girls to secondary school. We have provided more than $30,000 to improve the infrastructure and medical equipment and pharmaceuticals for the healthcare dispensary. We are currently funding a $100,000 project which is to build a Science Center for the Secondary School in our sister village located in the Kilolo District of the Iringa Region of Tanzania.
