Mission Statement

The mission of CROSMinistries is to serve the hungry in Palm Beach and Martin Counties through community collaborations.

The programs of CROS include:

Seven Community Food Pantries

The CROS Caring Kitchen hot meal program

After School Snack Program

Nutrition in a Knapsack

Gleaning Program

CROS Camps Program

The CROS Community Food Pantries are located in Belle Glade, Delray Beach, Indiantown, Lake Worth, West Palm Beach, Jupiter and Riviera Beach. These pantries provide emergency food to individuals and families in need throughout Palm Beach County. The food pantries serve more than 47,000 people annually and almost half of those served are children.

The CROS Caring Kitchen is a hot meal program in Delray Beach which serves Monday - Friday breakfast 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. and dinners on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m. We also deliver meals to those who are homebound three days a week and two bagged lunches are given out for Saturday and Sunday. The goals of the Caring Kitchen are to serve the hungry, to build a sense of community across diverse age, economic, religious, and racial groups and to help those who are able to become self-sufficient.

The After School Snack program provides sandwiches for After School Programs in Delray Beach and West Palm Beach for children who receive free and reduced lunch at school.

Nutrition in a Knapsack provides a backpack with food for the weekend for children who are chronically hungry at Title 1 Elementary Schools. Currently we are helping students in Delray Beach and will be starting programs in Jupiter and West Palm Beach in the near future.

Through the CROS Gleaning Program, hundreds of thousands of pounds of fresh produce are harvested during the gleaning season (Dec. to May). This fresh produce is then distributed to agencies feeding the hungry.

CROS Summer Day Camps are offered to children from families with low incomes, throughout Palm Beach County. CROS camps provide a safe and nurturing environment where children learn more about God's love.

Many volunteer and staff hours are also put into advocacy activities around health and human service issues.
