Mission Statement
To transform lives through the powerful interaction with horses utilizing the EAGALA Model of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP), Equine Assisted Learning (EAL, and Equine Assisted Team Building. Berkshire HorseWorks uses horses in ground-based activities to address those with mental health and behavioral challenges.
Description
Berkshire HorseWorks, a 501 (C) 3 nonprofit corporation, is part of the international EAGALA network of 5000 certified professional in 50 countries providing EAP, EAL, And Equine Assisted Team Building to at risk youth, veterans, active duty, their families and corporations. Experiential, highly efective, and rooted in evidence-based practices, EAP treats a broad array of mental and behavioral challenges such as depression, PTSD, anexity, ADHD, trauma, addiction, autism, sexual abuse, and anger management. The practice incorporates Equine Assisted Team Building by partnering with school districts, local businesses, and international corporations to enhance cohesion reLnforce group dynamics in the workplace. EAL cultivates life skills resiliency which facilitates reintegration and effective communication. Through the power of horses, berkshire HorseWorks provides the tools to cope, challenge, communicate, heal, lead, empathize, and thrive in today's world.
