Mission Statement

Empower Project is an urban permaculture farm whose mission is to eliminate food deserts by engaging the community in growing nutritious and affordable food while being an example of environmental stewards.

Description

This is our first growing season and we are very excited to mobilize the community to come help us grow healthy and organic food! We are growing on a 10th of an acre currently and hope to expand to an acre in the next 2 years. We teach about permaculture farming practices and resource sovereignty in order to empower communities. Our goal is to bring more organic food into neighborhoods that truly need it, while also improving the relationship between the consumer and the food they consume.
